COLLABORATIVE
MIDWIFERY CARE
SERVICE

The best of both worlds: personalized midwifery care combined with hospital-based birth services. Collaborative Care is designed for families who desire the relationship-centered approach of midwifery throughout pregnancy and postpartum, while planning to give birth in the hospital. This model allows you to receive comprehensive prenatal and postpartum care with Foothills Midwifery while also establishing care with a hospital-based provider for your birth. Throughout your pregnancy, you'll enjoy the longer appointments, individualized support, education, and continuity of care that midwifery is known for. We take time to get to know you, answer your questions, discuss your options, and support you in making informed decisions that align with your values and goals. As your pregnancy progresses, we work collaboratively with your hospital provider to help ensure a smooth transition for labor and birth. Most of your prenatal and postpartum visits take place with Foothills Midwifery, while selected visits are scheduled with your hospital provider to establish care and develop a birth plan for your delivery. Following the birth of your baby, you return to Foothills Midwifery for postpartum care, newborn support, breastfeeding guidance, and ongoing recovery care during the important weeks after birth. Collaborative Care May Be a Good Fit If You: * Desire the personalized experience of midwifery care * Prefer to give birth in a hospital setting * Have medical or pregnancy-related considerations that make hospital birth the preferred option * Want additional support, education, and continuity throughout pregnancy and postpartum * Value having a trusted midwife alongside your hospital care team Our goal is to provide seamless, supportive care that combines the strengths of both midwifery and hospital-based maternity services while keeping you at the center of every decision.
